The Lady and the Pirate was packed with adventure, dangerous battles and a tumultuous tale of fear of loss, and fear of love. It had a great background story, and as well as the hero being the epitome of raw masculinity, the heroine was strong and feisty!
An enjoyable read.

JANER Machado reviewed The Elf King’s Lady: Wildecoast Saga Book 2
The world of Thorius, with its political intrigues and torrid affairs, is a very entertaining site to visited. It’s a fantasy land, so we have elves, mermaids, pirates, princes and princesses and all the major elements for a saucy and funny reading. The Elf king’s lady is the moment for rendezvous to Alique Zorba, a beautiful, stubborn but sometimes frivolous lady. She meets her match in Kain and the development of their love story is also a chance of self discovery for hers. Alique will understand that feelings go beyond the appearances and love and family are much more important than an high place in Thorius court. We also meet again Nicholas and Merielle (Wildecoast I), happily married and causing frisson in Thorius society. It is a delight to read about them and wonder about next adventures in this world. Can’t wait for more!
Fans of C.L. Wilson will love this fantasy romance about two lovers from different worlds who will break the laws of land and sea in their quest to be together.

I received an ARC of this book to review for Net Galley.
The Lord and the Mermaid by Bernadette Rowley is part 1 of The Wildecoast Saga. I look forward to the next book in this series.
The Mermaid Merielle has fled her family as she can no longer allow herself to be part of the things her people do to humans on the ocean, so she flees in the face of a storm and she winds up washed up in the surf wrapped in a pile of seaweed near death.
Lord Nikolas Cosara, a man of the sea, bitter and disillusioned after his brother has disappeared, and he fears has been the victim of the mermaids, finds Merielle washed up in the seaweed. Part of him wants to leave her there to die and part of him can’t in good conscience do it. So he brings the mermaid home with him, to nurse her back to health and hopefully find out something from this beautiful but disillusioned mermaid about his brother. Merielle is afraid to tell him anything as he is bitter and disillusioned already.
They both start developing feelings for each other even though he is bitter and she is harboring secrets, and after Merielle reveals something extremely important to Nikolas, he is even worse towards her and she feels that she will not be able to stay with him any longer although she has come to love him.
This book was really good and I enjoyed the interactions between Nikolas and Merielle, and although I felt sorry for Merielle in the way Nikolas was to her, I could understand Nikolas’s feelings toward her.
The characters were well developed, the plot was good and there was a lot of sexual and emotional angst between the characters that kept the book interesting and moving at a steady pace.
I highly recommend reading this book, it goes quickly and is perfect for a nice day of reading. Read it and find out what Merielle is hiding from Nikolas and what happens!
I gave this book 4**** stars
@beautyandlace: ‘a lovely story of second chances, moving on and finding hope with the added bonus of hot lords and stunning mermaids. Being a romance there is also steam and sizzle, and not a little tension.’

Princess Alecia Zialni is no ordinary noblewoman but a crusader for Brightcastle’s miserable subjects, disguising herself to exact revenge and minister to the poor. Alecia manages to slip from his grasp only to discover he has been appointed her protector.
How is she to maintain her secret life with Vard watching her every move? More importantly, how can she safeguard her heart from this mesmerising man?
Vard knows he cannot remain Alecia’s protector and fulfil his mission to kill her father, Prince Zialni. Neither can he defend her when his control of his animal transformations is so tenuous.

Comments from Readers of Princess Avenger:
Monique T. I really enjoyed the book and became completely engrossed in the story. I felt a connection with the characters and found myself being swept away with the emotion and passion pouring out of the pages. I would read for chapters on end and forget where reality was, drawn into the life of the princess, feeling like I was right there next to her hiding in the dark alleyways.
Robyn A. Just letting you know what a great read that was.. Sat there wanting more when it was finished. So you will have to hurry and get book 2 written.
Kstar- 5 stars on Amazon Fantastic, wonderful read, the princess is compelling and her male counterparts stand beside her the whole way through, beautiful and compelling, this is the strong equality of characters that we have needed in fantasy. I loved the fantasy parts of it (I will not spoil) and they enhance the characters and add to the story-line, rather than them being an afterthought like in many other fantasy novels. The Romance is beautiful and enough to capture your breath, groan in frustration and rejoice when you read it. A stunning book i will read again and again.
Brooke T. I couldn’t put it down!!! So hooked!!
