2015 was a huge year for me. No wonder it seems to have flown past. I published four books and just 2 days ago I completed the first draft of The Lady and the Pirate. I can’t wait to share more stories with you in 2016 and am hoping for at least three releases.

Personally, I lost my mother-in-law which was a huge blow for the entire Rowley family. I’ve named my heroine in the Lady and the Pirate after her in the hope that she will live on in that character. Perhaps Estelle will get to do some of the things Esther never could.

My youngest graduated from high school and now faces a bachelor degree at the University of Queensland where I studied many years ago. We moved to Brisbane from Townsville after a sojourn of nine years. Life seems to be coming full circle in many ways.

In 2015 there have been good times and bad, plenty of cricket, laughs and tragedies and more cricket.

I love this time when we stand at the start of a new year and I’m always filled with optimism. I hope this year brings you more good than bad and a chance to change anything about your life that needs changing.

For me, I’m going to embrace 2016 and look forward to a year of discovering new characters, new friends and old and making the most of this life I’ve been granted.
